You're mistaking Tennessee fans for Doolander fans. We gave Dooley every chance to wow us. And he never did. We supported him the first 2 years b/c we all knew we were in a rebuilding period. But his coaching both in and out of games held UT 0-19 against the top 25 while he was here. And yes a lot of people were on the Lane Train, and he left like the type of person everyone else in Football tried to tell us he was. But after seeing what he did with one of the most talented teams in the country. I'm very happy we missed the Train wreck. He got what he had coming.
Butch is a special type of coach. He cares about his players. He doesn't just care about the part of their life that affects him(football) but, their education, future, and trials. He is mentoring this team. And the players are responding well to it.
Idk how many games we will win while Butch is here. But we will produce a lot of high quality young men into society with him at the reins.
