The "Butcher"

Seeing as how "butch" is slang for both a dominant lesbian and homosexual male, we may want to fore go giving our coach that moniker. Yeah, I know it can also refer to his crewcut, but. . . .

If a nickname is demanded options could be:

Jones Stones
Jonestone
Allenated
Lyle Laid :)
Crewdly Cut
Steambutch Jr. (not so sure of this one)
Steamboat Jones
Steamcoach Jones
Buzzcut Jones
Buzzcut
Alien
Crewcut Cyclone
Lyle Long Rifle :)
Darkman

How bout just plain Butch for now. Win some meaningful games, recruit some good to great talent then we revisit this issue.

Not sure it's a good appellation for our coach considering the infamous butchers of history. For example, the Butcher of Baghdad (Saddam Hussein), the Butcher of Birkenau (Josef Mengele), etc. The Butch-er of Knoxville doesn’t have a nice ring to it and isn’t even alliterative.

Ed- you forgot the "Butcher of Bakerfield"....

Yes alliteration is an important element in nicknaming. I concern completely.

everyone has to have a nickname on this board

stop trying to coin the Honey Badger of Tennessee for every player/coach/person of relevance to UT

just call them by their names, you guys aren't sports writers from the 1920s
