The Byron Moore Appreciation Thread

So what has BM done to deserve an appreciation thread?

Haven't been on here as much lately...I gather he is somehow getting cred for recruiting efforts, but what have I missed.

Thanks...I'll hang up and listen.

Having a positive attitude and positive affect on the program when we need it most, especially coming from someone that came across the country.

I'm graduating next year with this class and I am friends with T.K, Isaiah Mcdaniel and some others that we are recruiting. Trust me when I say this is going to be one hell of a class. I hope I get in to UT so I can enjoy the comeback of UT football!

Way to go bud. Hang in there. Pulling for you and our Vols to get it done.:salute:
GO VOLS!

He made some errors.
But leaving him single safety, repeatedly, on long yardage situations on 3rd and 4th down against 5 wide was stupidity

We could have went double zone. With some of the worst underneath coverage seen at UT in quite some time. Our linebackers were bad in coverage. Truly bad. Most big plays against us came when #34 or #45 got BURNED at the line, and Moore tried to help out, but to no avail.

We could have played Zero coverage. With our corners and lack of a pass rush, that would have been a nightmare. Our defense was bad last year. The only time it looked good is when Moore made picks on the back end. Which is why Sunseri had him back there. The problem was we needed him to have around 10 picks instead of 5.

Against Mizzou, the 3 deep look worked in the first half. But they figured it out in the second half. And began scoring almost at will. Hopefully Moore will have some help this year.

He is helping recruit big and heavy. Also, he's doing it publicly and fans eat that up.

We need more like Moore. Many ways to be a success during a young man's stay at UT, and not all are about on-field accomplishments.

All you need to do is pull up his Twitter and you will see. This kid is at the top of my list for favorite Vols. His blood is ORANGE!

This is what we are talking about as far as needing players who give their all for Tennessee! He is definitely a VFL and I'm proud to have him. If you dont have anything good to say the STFU!! Keep doing you Moore.

4 star LB Cortez McDowell said today . . .
Helping him the rest of the way through his recruitment will be current Vol safety Byron Moore, who has built a good relationship early on with McDowell.

"He's a good guy. He's a positive guy. I look up to him now," McDowell said. "Since the first time I met him we got in contact and he became like a brother to me and he's going to help me with my process and said no matter where I go he'll help me with my decision and help me be the best I can be."
