Did a quick look at first halfs. In losses we average 10 three point attempts in the first half.

21 for the game so that's just about the same, 10 a half.

Interesting. Still alittle early to make too many conclusions from stats. Not enough games with most of our 7 wins against teams me, you and Dupree could beat

Shot 8 in the first half against Wichita State up 1. Ended up with 20 and Jordy shot 10. Made 6

Shot 11 in the first half against UTEP down 8. Ended up with 21 in the second half. Made 3

Shot 9 in the first half against Xavier down 7. Ended up with 19. Made 8

Shot 7 in the first half against NCST down 17. Ended up shooting 24. Made 3.

Can you look at the wake forest game and the 2nd Xavier game to compare??

Those are the only 2 wins worth considering IMO

Our 4 most stagnant games as far as offensive flow. Not a coincidence that we shot a lot in the first half. IMO

Shot 7 in the first half against WF. Up 11. Ended up with 11. Made 4.

Shot 9 in the first half against Xavier (2nd game) Up 13. Ended up with 14. only made 2. This is telling to me because we had the game in control in the second half and only shot 5 more threes the entire game. 2-14 looks bad but when you attempt the majority in the first have it changes everything

Thanks.

So it appears to me that the number of 3's attempted are directly connect to winning or losing in the second half but not the 1st

In those 2 wins(the only 2 worth looking at IMO) we averaged 8 attempts in the 1st half.

In the 4 losses we average 8.75 attempts in the 1st half.

Very little difference.

We shot many more in the 2nd half because we were losing.

Our approach to taking the 3 pt shots doesnt Look like any indicator to wins/losses to this point IMO

Now can you figure out where in the shot clock those 3's were taken in the first half, during wins and losses? Lol

A win is a win! They looked better tonight, but that's not saying a lot. They took some baby steps on offense, but most importantly they got a win. GBO!

Good game to build some confidence. I like the move of having JRich bring the ball up the court now and again. Barton and DT are nice players, but both are hesitant to take the ball to the bucket on a regular basis. JRich was very aggressive and that is something UT needs to quit settling for 3's early in the game.

Anybody else think the reason to the sloppy end of the game last night could be due to conditioning? We are too deep to have conditioning be an issue with this team. IMO But we stopped getting back and finding a man in transition defense. And our agreesive halfcourt d just stopped with about 10 min to go in the game.

Good game not knockin, just sayin.

I think we let up towards the end because we didn't care to get back. Shows bad discipline by the coach JMO.
