I'd be interested in what he thinks about it.The real question is if Rex approves
I'd be interested in what he thinks about it.
I thought about "alerting" him so we could see, but I know him pretty well and I know he wouldn't give us his thoughts or opinions, only quotes from the Bible or others that he might or might not share the same opinion. Wouldn't know which because he wouldn't say. Lol.
I see comments say it is "Amazing" and others "raving" about it. I'm curious why it's Amazing and why others rave about it.
yeah, it's long but they basically explain how it's not an accurate representation of Christ and it give people a false idea of who Christ is and his ministry. they provide some good detail and examples of these errors. This is like nearly an hour and a half of watching. How about you just give a summary?

Well not trying to be rude, but I'm just not going to watch an hour and a half of something I disagree with off the bat.
I have followed this project since early on and can very much say this is a Spirit-led project. Today's modern world needs to see Jesus in this "binge show" way because that's how they are seeing everything else.
Also the number of people I have seen come closer to Jesus as a result of this show tells me all I need to know.
I watched both videos you posted. Thanks. I asked others that said it was amazing why they thought it was but got no response.
You're wanting a response to why people think The Chosen is amazing?
It paints the backstory of what life was truly like back then during Roman occupation. Especially with the "power struggle" of sorts between the Romans and religious leaders.
The New Testament isn't meant to be an entertaining story, it's meant to be a guiding light. The Chosen takes that light and makes it an entertaining story by adding in the history aspects to it, using what we know about Jesus and his disciples to paint the full picture of how hard it really was to be a disciple of Jesus, and how impactful his mission truly was to the people of that time.
Plus just seeing these stories come to life is what's so fascinating. The New Testament is history, so like any other historical recreation, watching it happen has a certain level of impact. Sort of like reading about D-Day, and then watching it happen in a movie.
Thanks. All of that is fine I'm my opinion, but if you'd watched the videos Dalton provided you'd see why he said that the show misrepresents who Jesus is and misrepresents His works. It also explained the Pride flag being seen on the "behind the scenes" clip. The official media account said "the initiative uses the work of those who have varying beliefs about Jesus". There's some good information in those videos. You're wanting a response to why people think The Chosen is amazing?

I watched episode 1 and part of 2 of the first season, so I can't give an opinion of the show itself. But Realtor said it's not meant to replace reading the Bible. Do you know people that claim to be Christian that don't read the Bible? I do, and they'll watch this show and because of all the positive being said they'll think they're a better Christian for it. Dude even said he knows people that have said they're closer to Jesus because of this show. But if misrepresents who Jesus was/is, that could be a really bad thing.
But hey, it's not important enough to watch a few minutes of a couple of videos that explain a question that was asked better than he could have answered himself.
I'm not trying to change anyone's mind about a show I haven't watched, that's @n_huffhines job. Lulz. I just hope I encouraged someone to do a little more research about it all. If you feel you have and feel good about it that's really all that matters.
