The Coaches Hot Seat

I would actually use Nebraska as a better example of what happens when you remove a consistent 9-10 win coach and throw someone else into the mix.

Why? I WISH our record was as good as Nebraska's the past 8 years. If you're talking about the new guy, a couple of months of turmoil isn't the same as our past 7-8 years.

No, I was saying if one needed an example of how a (successful) team can fall off rapidly by taking that coach out, Nebraska would be a good example of it.

Ours on the other hand was in a decline before Fulmer was fired, Lane came and went and we went through the Dooley experiment. We didn't fall off a cliff like Nebraska did (or UGA might if Richt was to be removed)

In spite of all the hoping and praying by a few loud mouths on this site. Jones is nowhere near the hot seat.
So losers, get used hearing the name Coach Butch Jones at Tennessee.

Yea I agree, not even a warm seat. No money to buy him out after the last 5 years so you all better be giving him all the support he can get.

It's fun to play pretend, but he's 1 loss from losing a huge chunk of the fan base, and 2 losses from being run out of town.

The only thing that would save him then would be the financial aspect, which I don't buy, but who knows.

He'll sink or swim on his own merit.

Joe vols fan screaming "Jones gets it"
and
Bob vols fan screaming for a coaching change has about as much relevance as the linked article. None.
