Before Fulmer cut Johnny's throat he was the O coordinator, yet the offensive woes were Johnny's fault. Now Fulmer is the head man and the problems are Sanders fault. Lookout Phil there could be a Brutus among you!

One half does not make a season! There are still plenty of problems with this football team!

First, explain just how "Fulmer cut Johnny's throat".

Second, explain just how we were having offensive problems with Johnny here.

Or do you even have a clue to either?

Yes I remember Devoe and Go johnny go. But where does that mean we had offensive woes? I dont seem to recall NOT being able to score point when Johnny was here. Just being able to hold on to leads.

Now, do you want to try again? Do you want to show me specifically a) how Fulmer cut JMs throat and B) the offensive woes we had under JM? ANd please, dont use "bumper stickers" as your arguement.

Fulmer basically told the admin hire me or I'm outta here! I think it was South Carolina that was after him. So Johnny was forced out. All you heard during his time there was he was too conservative.( remember the tie scores) Hey I liked Majors and imo he was done wrong and Fulmer played a part in it!

So, Fulmer presented his employer an option for keeping him around (this is the first time I had heard about USC wanting Fulmer). The EMPLOYER made the decision to hire on CPF and to fire JM?

Hmm. ANd I thought all this time it had to do with CPF starting us off with 3 wins, only to have JM come back to the sidelines and ruin the season we had going.

Not to mention that JM had a contract extension on the table, that he refused to sign because he wanted more money (even after losing to Bama, USC and Arkansas).

Wanna try that again skippy?

It makes me wonder. Did Mark Richt stab Jim Doonan in the back to get the UGA job?

Must have, according to Einsteins logic.

After the 3 game streak Fulmer became the darling of the coaching ranks alot of schools got interested. How much respect did he show JM for even making that statement. Why not go on and come back or wait on JM to retire.
Now how did Majors ruin that season?

Well lets see, Fulmer has us winning the first 3 games of 1992 (as interim coach). Wins included over UF and UGA (we are talking solid wins...nothing flukey about them).

JM rushes back to the sidelines and proceedes to lose 3 of the next 5 (Bama was the eventual MNC...also including loses to ARkansas and South Carolina) and 4 of the last 8. He could have stayed and coached us for the Hall Of Fame bowl game, but he chose NOT to.

Fulmer deserved a shot and so far, he has excelled at ut, taking us to a level that JM couldnt.

Its funny but I think you are making the USC story up. I havent heard that one up until today.

There were only mind problems with this team. I personally think it had to do with the wrong person at qb. It is no secret that the team wanted Clausen. Naturally you will play harder for someone you believe in.
That is why we broke out in the second half. It's called leadership. Now that Fulmer has officially gone with Clausen I believe the team will step up and follow their captain.
