My point exactly! When Fulmer loses its somebody elses fault (Sanders)

Explain to me just how CPF, who had a 4-0 record as coach in 1992, blamed somebody for his losses?

 <-----Crimedog trying to figure that one out.

when does CPF ever blame his losses on some else? present day and J. Majors was a pretty good coach but he got himself run out of town, his paranoia got the best of him when Phil was winning games while he was layed up in the hospital, what was he suppossed to do ? lose games so that Johnny would look better?

One half does not make a season! There are still plenty of problems with this football team!

As hot as Clausen was in the second half it only makes me wonder how many points he would have hung on LSU if he had started the game for us.

They will step up for a back up QB but not thier Head Coach or Position Coach? Whats up with that!

Have you ever played sports of any kind? When your leader is not getting a fair shake due to the coaches decision it is hard for the team to believe in the coach. Hence less motivation to play. Sometimes it takes more than just a coach to get a team going. That's why we elect captains for the team. It's not just for s#!%@ and giggles.

Then what does present day have to do with your claims from 1992, mortimer?

And show me a link or record of the USC (or anybody else) offering Fulmer anything back in 1992. If you cant, your a liar.

nobody said Fulmer placed the blame, the point was why does everybody scream for Sanders head and say nothing about Fulmer? Majors is a big part of UT history (good and bad) and imo got screwed!

Well lets see, Fulmer has us winning the first 3 games of 1992 (as interim coach). Wins included over UF and UGA (we are talking solid wins...nothing flukey about them).

JM rushes back to the sidelines and proceedes to lose 3 of the next 5 (Bama was the eventual MNC...also including loses to ARkansas and South Carolina) and 4 of the last 8. He could have stayed and coached us for the Hall Of Fame bowl game, but he chose NOT to.

Fulmer deserved a shot and so far, he has excelled at ut, taking us to a level that JM couldnt.

Its funny but I think you are making the USC story up. I havent heard that one up until today.

You did, Einstein.

I agree that the whole situation could have been handled better by the administration but JM has to be at least 50% at fault if not more, if he had swallowed a little pride he might be AD right now or at least have a nice desk job somewhere in the Ut athletic dept.

I said I thought it was USC and no I can't back it up, I just remember it being discussed back then! I'm sure others might as well. Shame on me!

you know I was around after Peyton graduated and heard all the rebuilding BS,and I know for a fact that not everyone felt it was going to be a rebuilding year....The team rallied around Tee in the orange bowl against nebraska...He assumed control of that team, hopefully Ainge can learn from rick for the rest of the year..
