New horror movie released today. Going to see it tonight. Rotten Tomatoes reviews so far have it at an 85%. Pretty good for a horror movie these days.

Anyone going to see it this weekend?

I fully intend on seeing it within the next week. The last good horror flick I saw was "Sinister". Before that, though, it was another one of James Wan's films- "Insidious". I'm excited to see this one.

Nope saw with a friend over the weekend The Lone Ranger.

I think 41 Million for it's debut hope this Horror movie scares me, and doesn't use the cliche familar scares of false safe and then the monster, ghost, etc is shown.

Personally I think it was pretty awesome. Compared to almost all other "horror" movies released now, it's on a completely different level.

I don't know what it was, maybe that everyone around me said it was one of the scariest movies that came out lately, but I didn't get that vibe from this. I thought Sinister was freaky, Insidious not so much. It's definitely worth going to see, but don't go into it thinking to be scared as the poster above was shown. And don't watch the trailer! Can spoil stuff for you. I give The Conjuring, personally, a B.

and now with the possibility of my life having demons for seeing a movie?

Can I bring a Ouija Board to just add to it?

My friends told me they laughed throughout it. But I'm sure they are just trying to act tough

There are 2 movies that have scared me to the core: event horizon and Blair Witch.

Blair witch not anymore.

Hate people that do this. People should just stay home if laughter is the only way they're capable of dealing with tense or uncomfortable feelings experienced during a horror film.

As soon as you see the title card you know you're in for a good movie. It's a totally cohesive Greatest Hits of '70s Mainstream Studio Horror. James Wan just really knows what he's doing. Avoid the trailers as much as possible. But yeah, overall, very classy pic.

I got blind sided by event horizon when it came out in theaters;I expected a pure Sci Fi film. Still one of my favorite horror films of all time.

That's definitely one of the scariest movies I've ever watched.

This has suprisingly done well at the box office. On a reportedly $20 Million budget it currently has a....
Domestic Total as of July 23, 2013:
$52,994,842

Its been #1 at the box office for the last 5 days and should stay at #2 until next week. Wolverine comes out this week but no other major release until The Smurfs 2 next Wednesday.

The beginning was great with that creepy doll and the two women.

SPOLER ALERT: the ending wasnt that good. It went from scary as crap to end that fast.

it was supposed to end like that. they bridged the amityville horror movie with the end of this one and left it at that.

the toy being left in the room is homage to their career and just how scary that room full of objects is.
