it was supposed to end like that. they bridged the amityville horror movie with the end of this one and left it at that.

the toy being left in the room is homage to their career and just how scary that room full of objects is.

Pretty poor editing/research by the director. The Amityville murders didn't happen until 1974, three years after the supposed events that took place here.

I can shrug it off

I get where they were going with it and it was one sentence

edit: I went back and read about the story the movie is based on, and it says that the events took place over nearly 10 years. So it's entirely possible that Amityville took place during all of this and they just condensed the story to fit 2 hours.

CLAP CLAP.....

Did yall catch the part at the end when Mr Warren said that a priest needed them in Long Island?

Also, this was supposedly based on a true story and the oldest daughter said there is stuff that happened to them that they did not put in movie and that the family will keep to themselves...Freaky

Yes. Caught that about Long Island. I thought that was referring to Amityville.

I thought the movie was very good. It was intense and had a good mix of Paranormal Activity and the Exorcist.

The guy that plays the father, his name escapes me, needs to have more work. He was great in Office Space and Band of Brothers.
