On sports talk in Chattanooga Doc was trying to verify a rumor out of Alabama that Jerry Jones could possibly offer Saban a deal to come to Dallas.

Sorry, no links. Anybody heard anything about this?

I dont know if Saban would go to the NFL again. Then again if you offer more money he'll go anywhere

If he comes out and publicly says he isn't going then the deal is already done :)

I'm not sure how I'd feel about that.

But, it could happen. It's not like Jerry is short of money. Mack Brown just became college's first five million dollar man, while the NFL already has six guys making around that much or more (including some who don't deserve it).

I don't see it happening...but then again...if he wins the big one...he just might. He loves having his ego stroked. And I would love to see him gone.

There is less than no chance that is true.

That's why nobody is talking about it. Duh. This was on the show yesterday or the day before. I didn't hear him say he was trying to verify it. He was just saying what he heard and left it at that.

Sounds like Saban's agent is earning his money... remember Phil and Carolina? (lol) Mack Brown cant make more money than Saban... pay up Tidey Bowl! :)

I'd rather him stay at Alabama so he can be there when we smoke 'em.

Why Saban and not Meyer; or one of the accomplished NFL coaches in waiting (e.g., Gruden)?

It won't happen. Two control freaks in the same place won't work. Jerry needs a yes man and little Nicky isn't that guy.

Sounds like he needs Urban Meyer. Although I can't see him doing very well in the NFL.

I don't think his offense would work very well up there. Nick could have some success if it was with the right team. I don't think either go unless some offers a insane amount of money.

I doubt this will happen. Saban is a megalomaniac and could not stand Jerry Jones in his way all the time. I'm not saying that Saban wouldn't leave but I seriously doubt that it will be to a team with an involved owner like Jerry Jones.
