The Day After Signing Day

Just being able to sign on to VN and not see meltdown mode has made my week.. In the past I would have to wait a week to sign on just so I didn't feel like punching my screen due to all the negativity.....

How nice is it the day after to be completely satisfied with the results? To not have to lament losing out on those key players the team needed so badly? To look over the list of signees to see legit talent and not a class full of hopeful projects?
For myself, after the past few years, the feeling is almost surreal. Almost too good to be true.
Thank you to our coaching staff for working your butts off and making this a stellar year in recruiting. Thanks to all of the signees for being men of your word and keeping this day drama free. All of you will be forever remembered for being the spark that ignited the flame. You will not regret your decision.

Could not have said it better!

I feel even better knowing that these kids were long time commits. This isn't a case of these kids (at least the majority) deciding last minute and switching to TN. They know the road ahead and made the informed decision that they want to accept the challenge. Takes a lot of fortitude to place your faith in the unknown. Good for these kids; I don't think they'll regret it!

What excites me the most is this is just the beginning! Let CBJ win 7 or 8 games this year and see where we finish in recruiting NEXT year!

Along with bringing in a great class, I believe Butch Jones will do something equally crucial: keeping the recruits on campus once they get here. As we have seen with previous classes (especially 2009), great recruits are of little use if they wind up flunking out, getting homesick, or holding up a Pilot station. Attrition has killed us.

Butch Jones seems better than Dooley or Kiffin at building relationships with players. He "clicks" with them, and they like playing for him. It's this sort of relationship-building that not only makes players want to come here, but will make them want to stay for four years.

Feel the same way. Also that butch is gonna give everything for this team, not jus talk but about action. Seams like the last 2 sounded good when they talked, but never seemed to have any action and butch is already showing it isnt jus words.
