The depth chart

That people put so much of the team woes on former walkons is kinda funny. Skylar needs more shots and minutes or to sit. That will only happen if he can get a consistent release.

Maymon has a terrible attitude and his offensive game and decision making is really bad. Also his free throw shooting is poor, don't know what Bruce saw in this kid. I can tell you right now Miller will be playing over Maymon. He is bigger and by all accounts has a heck of a work ethic and attitude. For Maymon to see more than 10 minutes a game, he will need to have done a lot of work in the offseason.

Good. I haven't seen anything at all in maymon. He was a 2 time state poy. He can't shoot, dribble, or finish, and his D awareness is bad.
He can spin really fast in traffic and throw a dipsy doo scoop every now and then. That's it.

Good points pl. He also was the player of the year in Wisconsin, so that really isn't saying much.

because most of those UW guys and a fair amount of the Marquette players are home grown.

Whatever you think of Maymon, POY in Wisconsin is pretty good.

Maymon was a great High school athlete and deserved his POY's... He surpassed all of Wes Matthews records at his HS. I think that is good company to beat out.

Chism your from Wisconsin and seem a bit bias. I couldn't tell you who Wes Matthew is but I can tell you who JP Tokoto is, so I do follow Wisconsin b-ball recruiting whenever they have a major recruit.

Maymon's play was TERRIBLE last year. His free throw shooting is the worst I have literally ever seen. It's a sign of laziness and not trying to get better when you have that terrible of a free thow shot. His shot selection and form on his jumper is equally as bad. This guy has a long, long way to go and I really don't think he has the demeanor or work ethic to be a solid D1 player. I'm really worried for this team every time he gets on the basketball court. He is not a team player and makes very bad decisions, his b-ball intelligence is low and he reminds of players Jerry Green recruited.

He couldn't even crack the rotation at Marquette, so I am hoping he makes a solid second team player here. I know Marquette is a solid b-ball program, so no offense to the Golden Eagles.

ATXVol, I am not biased toward Wisconsin, otherwise i would not be a Vol fan... The point I am making is that he did have the talent in HS to play at a D1 level, but never improved. Thus i compared him to Wes Matthews. If Maymon surpassed Matthews, it is saying a lot. Matthews improved unlike Maymon.
Matthews is playing in the NBA now and is a great 6 man, if not starter depending on where he is playing.

Will any of the freshman be red-shirting?

Will Zo really go with a 7-8 man rotation?

Best case scenario IMO is at least one of the freshman redshirting and an improved Maymon gets ~15 minutes a game. Not sure how you play only 3 post guys (based on this proposed depth chart).

What you think the depth chart is right now?

PG- Golden/Washpun
SG- Tatum/Richardson
SF- McRae/Chievous
PF- Woolridge/Miller
C- Hall/Miller

I know Martin said he only wanted 8 or 9 players in the rotation.
SG looks good
PG inexperienced
SF Inexperienced
PF inexperienced
C inexperienced

May take a year to get settled in, but seems like a top 25 team for this year

I hope they surprise us, but that isn't a top 25 roster. I'd be happy with a 17-14/18-13 record this year.

In the future, maybe. Depends on recruiting, really.

Get Stokes and we automatically become a 20+ win team and NCAA tourney team in 2012-13
