The divide in this country is growing, and is alarming

LG, can we now stop calling Barry the 'great uniter?'

More and more people are wondering; 'what universe
does this guy live in?'

Could it be as simple as one group, as a whole, has figured out that they must take care of themselves in order to live and take care of their family, thus their income (and wealth) goes up?

The other group, as a whole, has continually been more dependant on the government to help them and thus are only being provided by the minimum needs in order to survive?

Not buying.

No it isn't. Are you truly that dense? You broaden the tax base by growing the economy so that more people make enought to have to pay taxes. "Broaden the base" is not another way of saying "tax the poor"... it is another way of saying "expand the private economy thus creating more tax payers".

Who said it was? You need to get off the premise of a zero sum game and accept what JFK said. A rising tide lifts all boats.

No. It is a plan that they hope will lower the rate on everyone but STILL increase revenues. Twenty percent of 100 is greater than 30% of 50. A lower tax rate on a more wealthy economy is better than a higher rate on a poorer economy.

Are you really not able to follow this?

You are much more enjoyable in this forum than debating Poole. Solid.

there are many more graduating with majors that will not help them get a job. Just having a 4yr degree will not get you hired anymore. Yeah it's tough but sometimes you have to suck it up and take a lesser job until something better comes along

either

This is what I tried to get my little sister to do after she graduated.
