Is UT man enough to walk through it? Will we beat those Dores like baby seals? Have no mercy? Show no quarter? I want Vandy blood on my hands next Saturday! UT has no one to blame anymore, just win baby!

I was watching Vandy last night. Their offense is an option hybrid. This means that eye discipline is a must. If everyone just plays their assignments, then you can stop it cold. If you get lost in the eye candy, it will be a long night. How good is our defense at playing assignment football?

Except Oregon
Eh, Wisconsin made them look human and they struggled early in the season. Wouldn’t be surprised by them running the table or getting bounced their first game. Honestly they’ll probably lose the Big Ten chip. They beat OSU by 1 at home. Autzen is worth more than 2 points, I’d say.

Post Pili injury? Not great. Mike Bobo drew up counter and misdirection plays all night that had our young LBs and safeties on ice skates. It’s a big concern. Can be neutralized with excellent def line play. Those guys did not get on the bus to Athens. Saturday is a chance to atone.

aTM has 3 losses. 2 are conference (Auburn and SC). Other loss was to ND. So if they beat Texas they both have 2 conference losses and aTm has the tiebreaker with Texas. Since UGA has the tiebreaker against the Vols it would be aTm vs UGA. Unless I’m missing something here
Yeah, I realized that and deleted my post. Wasn’t thinking about the non-conference loss.

Interesting “what if” - what if aTm beats Texas and then beats UGA in the SECCG. By the process I guess they’d be in the playoffs even with 3 total losses

Yes they would get in and probably be lowest seed. if they beat Texas and lose in the Champ game they would not get in.

Tennessee's path to the playoffs goes through Nashville, not Atlanta, we lose the tie breakers to A&M and Georgia already and if Texas wins they have a better record anyway.

We have been given a tremendous opportunity not seen since 1998's conference championship week upsets, Stoerner's immaculate fumble, Jeff Hall's winner at Syracuse, Tee Martin throwing 2 touchdown passes 32 seconds apart to beat Mississippi State in an amazing comeback in the SEC championship game, Florida State on a third string quarterback, Peerless Price MVP status in BCS and SEC championship games. But you coach, plan and play to win, not just to fumble and futz through the offensive playbook and defensive alignments to see what happens.

Why would 2 lose Tennessee need a tie breaker for 3 lose am?

Assuming A & M beats Texas, they have 3 losses, however, only the conference record is used in determining the teams appearing in the SEC Championship Game, their loss to Notre Dame, which might be relevant to a playoff slot, is irrelevant for SEC Championship Game, A & M defeated Arkansas, Tennessee did not.
