The Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Yeah, there’s a reason I don’t do fairs and especially the pop up variety! Have you seen some of the guys assembling these rides? (No offense to anyone on here who is an county fair ride assembler) not to mention they put these rides together in like 45 minutes and are probably never inspected! I’ll put it to you like this, I have access to a lot of behind the scenes in restaurants, bars and venues, some of the nastiest, filthiest kitchens I’ve ever been in, have a health score of 98 hanging by the entrance...

I saw last week where those in charge of TCM programming are thinking of dumping all the old B&W movies that the whole world loves to see & still appreciates. Too many companies are "woke" now & want to change our culture to resemble a country like Cuba living under daily oppression. This makes no sense to anyone living in America, the greatest Nation on earth..

I've been watching a lot of B&W classics lately: On the Waterfront, The Hustler, Stagecoach, The Third Man. These old movies are interesting and so well done. A real artist can make a great B&W movie.

I check TCM daily schedule line-up. Really like the 30s & 40s B&W movies.
Don't get me talking about the old B&W Tarzan movies that would come on Saturday TV.

I've gotten to where I like all Thin Man movies w/William Powell & Myrna Loy. I love her.

Greetings from Fenway Park, my friends! Where I shall be holding my tongue for tonight’s game!

I sat near the seats in the 2d photo back on a surprise trip from my then girlfriend, now wife, in 1999z. We stayed with her old college roommate in the brownstones outside the RF fence.
Hiked the Freedom Trail, back to the apt, showered while listening to the National Anthem thru the open window. Headed to the Park, got a beer, took our seats, and it was entering the bottom of the first.

Loved that trip. Married the girl who took me. My favorite major league park, with St Louis in 2d (out of eight I’ve been to.). Gonna be hard for another ballpark to beat that charm and the knowledgeable fans.

Didn’t care for the Red Sox before; have rooted for them since. Don’t be afraid to grab me a souvenir.

And, for the Sox, PROSTATE!

Great story! We enjoyed taking pics around those seats and then moved to our real seats in center field 🤣

I grew up in NY as a yankee fan (family tradition), but went to college in Boston and have grown more accepting of the Sawx over the years…
