The Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Hmmm. Should I take my play off enthusiasm elsewhere? Pretty sure there’s a forum in MLB baseball…
Love you guys, don’t want to create any hard feelings. There’s plenty of room…
That’s crazy talk! You celebrate how you see fit, right here in the dugout, amongst friends!
I don’t particularly care for the Astros but I’m excited for you. Not crazy about the Dodgers either but I feel bad for 52.
I’m just glad we will all get to take in this monumental comeback by the Braves and enjoy their march to another WS title!!
😎

You think Strider loses today...believe Suarez is pitching for Phillies....btw..MLB moved game to 8p.m.(7p.m.) central for more views...all about the benjamins..you think the Philly fans want be drunk off their ass by then lol...
I think things have gotten too personal now w/the two teams. I've never seen such a hostile crowd for a baseball game as one that the Philly home crowd showed last night. They were so pissed & mad about a comment made by Arcia to Harper the other night they were wanting blood.

Darryl Strawberry is coming to Knoxville in November, he’s the speaker for the Volunteer ministries center, benefit dinner.
I would love to attend but don’t think I can justify the $108 price tag.
I get that it’s for a good cause but $108?!
Charge it on a CC & go. You might miss something you'd regret later.

Braves fans in the East see the game tonight which starts at 8:07 ET.
Get the drip coffee pot started at 10 ET. It could be another early blowout
by the Phillies & then it's bedtime as usual.
I hope the Braves show us that they have some fuzz on their peaches and make this thing a series with a win tonight!
If they are not pissed about getting beat down and by Bryce Harpers antics, then they are soft and deserve to lose the series.
I fully expect a bounce back game tonight.

I'd surely like to see a Braves win/comeback. But that hostile loud crowd will be back again in a stronger force knowing that one more win for them is another trip to a NLCS game.

He has continuously placed his players, specifically rookies, in positions to fail in the postseason. Managers are suppose to put their players in the best position to succeed. Would you want your rookie pitchers making their postseason debut in the hardest environment to play in? Start them in front of your home fans to get their feet wet. Yeah he’s an idiot and doesn’t deserve to be coaching this talented group of individuals.
I agree with you that starting a rookie away from home in that environment seems kind of crazy. It is tough enough in that tanked up environment for an experienced veteran. Certainly a head scratcher.

The Detroit Lions have the second most explosive plays in the NFL only behind the Dolphins

Have they won a SB yet? Nope? Didn't think so. Lions can have all the explosive plays they want but to fizzle out at the end of each year is as bad as the Cowboys do.

Yea Mookie and Freddie done nothing this series...last night in top 8th ...leadoff walk..what happens Mookie and Freddie back to back STRIKEOUTS..lol I knew it was over at that moment...
I think the past two postseasons have proven my theory has some weight. The season ended last Sunday and the Braves/Dodgers/Orioles/Astros had to sit on their butt all week until Saturday. That’s wayyy too long of a layoff for baseball players. So far, two of those teams have gotten swept, another is on the verge of losing in 4 games. Only the Astros have been able to get onto the next round. I would be perfectly fine with them completely doing away with the byes and having them play in the wildcard round if that meant your team doesn’t have to go nearly an entire week without playing a game. If the Braves lose tonight that would mean 5 of the 8 teams that have received byes over the past two postseasons have gotten put out in their divisional round series. Teams with byes currently have a combined record of 12-17 through these first two years of the new format. This new format has inadvertently created a disadvantage for the top teams.
