I have no dog in this fight but 100% agree with you. The refs screwed this up. They assumed 70 was reporting (as he had done several times previously) when it was 68. This should be fixed by better communication. Player should state ”68 reporting” and ref should acknowledge with “68”.

Later today I heard the reporting players numbers over the stadium pa.
Apparently an issue of concern.

Tony Romo made fun of the crew last night during the Chiefs-Bengals game today. Saw a lineman running into the game circled him going up to the ref. Circled the ref shaking his head. Said, “hmm it really isn’t that hard is it?” I got a nice laugh out of it.

Good Morning hope everyone had a great night...

Now on to business, watching morning talk shows..

Of course the Lions vs Cowboys were the topic, ironic thing is the referee is required to announce eligible Offensive lineman to crowd where both teams can hear ..

Did anyone hear the announcement?

Not that I am aware of. He only told the defense. That’s the other part that confused me. Every time I’ve seen weird formations I recall the refs announcing it on the broadcast. If they announce it over the mic and Dan Campbell had heard the wrong number then he could have stopped and said no no that’s not the right number. Everything Brad Allen (crew chief) did was wrong.

Obviously so, now NFL according to Richard Sherman admitted that that play and the tripping call on Cowboys from previous possession was wrong ..

No penalty should have been called, now they have been told this crew will get no playoff games ,which means no bonus money🤑🤑

They shouldn’t get bonus money and they should be suspended this week without pay. This isn’t the first game this year his crew has performed poorly. They got a big call wrong in the Chiefs-Packers game whenever the Packers defender was literally climbing on the back of a Chiefs receiver, and during the Dolphins-Eagles game the Dolphins had 10 penalties vs the Eagles having 0 penalties. Make that make sense.
