They were talking so fast at the end of the game, lol .... I forgot what was said.
It’s a tad bit confusing…but it’s actually two brackets…you don’t play any teams in the bracket that is not yours until the championship game…each Bracket is identical to a regional setup except when you get to the ”regional” final in Hoover (semifinal) you only have to beat the winners bracket team one time instead of twice…then you get to play the other bracket champ for the title….all a moot point as this is last year for this version

With their win today, the Phillies are on pace to win 117 games, which would be the most in a season. The Yankees are on pace for 109 wins. The Guardians are on pace for 107 wins. The Dodgers are on pace for 103 wins. The Royals are on pace for 102 wins. The Orioles are on pace for 100 wins. The Braves are on pace for 100 wins even though they have played like 💩 the entire first half of the season.

Seven 100-win teams would be the most in a single season.

Try explaining the ASUN tournament. That one is quite unique lol
I sent a post about how stupid the Acc tournament is…it’s not hard to explain per say…but how would you like to play a game on Tuesday, with your second game being on Friday…but by the time the Friday game rolled around you and your opponent Friday were both already eliminated from advancing…hahahaha

They choose to suck on purpose so they can try to accumulate draft picks. And if they keep that payroll down then they are still making a profit even though they have a crappy team. Suck for 5 years and stock up the farm system and hope they all develop. I don’t like the philosophy but they all do it if they don’t want to participate in free agency.

The longest postseason drought is at 9 years currently so no team is really in a historic drought. Reds were in the postseason in 2020. Now they haven’t won a playoff series in nearly 30 years so that’s a different story. I would say the Angels are in the worst shape in the majors with those horrible contracts they have on the books.

Your third sentence said it…also expanding playoffs cheapens that…Reds and Pirates aren’t even in a good division and they still can’t win it...it’s a total joke…way too many irrelevant franchises…only way to ensure competitive balance is to do what the Nfl does but that will never happen

Instead we sit around for 6 months and play 162 games to wait for the Dodgers,Phillies, and Braves to slug it out and hope and pray they are healthy and playing well when it comes time..

Well the Braves are already behind in the healthy category so don’t get your hopes up there lol. Starting catcher has been out all season. Starting 3B has been out for 2 weeks. Ace of the staff is out probably this year and next year. It will be a battle between the Dodgers and Phillies. I’ve already accepted that.

Sale has been beyond awesome this season. Was not expecting such a bounce back year for him. He is looking like the pre-2019 Sale and I’m loving every second of it. Even more shocked with Lopez’s emergence. We have 4 very good starters but we really needed Strider to contend this year with the offense taking several steps back.

He says he is only pitching 3 maybe 4 years…if he goes 5-6 he can still make the Hof..fingers crossed…he is as good as anyone to ever do it when healthy
