I made it in the building for the 21 supers…haven’t been to a game in LNS since...would rather go to regionals this time and sit home and watch supers…if tickets aren’t outrageous or if somebody can pull a rabbit out of a hat I plan on being there next weekend

It’s great entertainment and the drama is wild..we have just been so damn good for so long…this is a school that needs to start winning National Titles, only being good is not good enough. I have high expectations for things, I refuse to accept less.

I used to be miserable after losses, but tried to make a conscious decision to enjoy the wins but not so much get depressed. I have no control over results (other than being loud and obnoxious when I’m in attendance), so my reaction doesn’t matter.

True…I just get upset when it’s fully in our hands and we blow it somehow. Trust me…people don’t care if you are good, they care if you win it all. Saying your good or an everything school is a Tennessee thing. Nobody else cares because they are all winning titles at what they are good at and proud of. Every school in the Sec worth their weight is winning National Champion in sports and the really legit ones are doing it in multiple sports on a pretty regular basis. Before I was a student through after we were doing that…I’m ready for the party to begin again! One program just needs to get the ball rolling…

I will say I get my hopes up less and enjoy the wins less in sports that I know we will find a way to screw it up no matter if our fault, somebody else’s fault, or even no ones fault…(Basketball)….I mean my best friend did play for the Vols and I’m from basketball crazed Louisville…but I know how that story is always going to friggen end…it’s tougher and tougher to get excited for wins that won’t translate into anything substantial…I heard Kentucky fans at baseball this year telling Tennessee fans you don’t know what a Final Four is…aggravating as heck

Well, I did say I try to not get depressed after losses, but I don’t always succeed in that!

I think walking out of the building with the loss to Michigan was about my final straw. I was just like we are never going to do this. Even this year, I tempered expectations big time and with the best player Barnes will ever have here we couldn’t get to the Final Four. I know some of it was bad luck…drawing Purdue Etc…but we could have beat a bad a Kentucky in TBA or done better in the Sec tournament. It’s always something. Now you lose Jonas and Awaka, plus all the seniors…there will always be an excuse or reason to be had but at some point it falls on deaf ears. All those guys over there saying Oats sucks…well Oats has done more at Bama than Barnes has done in Knoxville in a shorter amount of time. Facts are facts. Sounds like softball idiots saying Bama coach or Florida coach sucks or baseball saying Vandy coach sucks when all those people have won it all.

Nate Oats allows players that hand off murder weapons to continue playing. I’ll take Barnes over Oats. Life is bigger than sports. Sometimes it takes people longer to realize that than others. Sometimes people never realize that.
