Bought me a pack of baseball card for the first snce the 90s. First card I see is Nick Senzel!

and a side note,as I was sorting through the rest I was sliding the cards from bottom to top and I see De La Cruz, I gotsuper excited as I hear some of Elly De La Cruz cards are going for a lot of money, but it was Bryan De La Cruz

Yeah, that's tough trying to figure out what people need who've had more life experiences than you. And you're really dealing with two very different cohorts in the job market right now: younger ones who view work as a contributing factor to their psychological well-being, and older ones (or ones who've been beat down by life) for whom work-is-money-is-surviving another week.

[I tried to help two different students from the projects get their life and academics on track and I failed completely because I was up against a home life where there wasn't a dad and there was a mom or grandmother working at least 2 jobs, just trying to feed her kids and keep the lights on. So your statement "surviving another week" was so true. In one case it was a older sibling who absolutely had to take care of his little sister until his mom got home. So his home life was loud and chaotic. He was a junior in HS]

[My next attempt was to go younger, so I found a 6th grader who was the youngest kid in the house. It was part of a GT study on how to effectively end poverty through education and prepare a student to do well enough to take advantage of scholarships and free instate tuition at GT or UGA. That's still a work in progress and there is reasonable hope for success imo and that's because a massive amount of consistent help is available through me and involved he's got a really good mom, it's sane at home, etc, but he's so very far behind in both math and reading. As he enters 8th grade this August, he reads at and thinks like a 6th grader and is on a rate of progress of about 2 years for every year of help they get, so I think he'll make it IF he continues to work at it, which I think he will because his confidence in himself is growing rapidly.]
