Corbin didn’t have any competition in state his entire time until Tony came along. Funny how Tennessee becomes good again and Vanderbilt takes several steps back. They can’t even win a regional game now. The past three seasons they are a combined 46-44 in SEC games with 2 losing records. Meanwhile Tennessee was 1 game away from being in Omaha 4 consecutive seasons with a 63-27 record in SEC games over those same three seasons. Kids want to play for Tennessee instead of Vanderbilt. It’s pretty clear had Tennessee been competitive all those years then Corbin wouldn’t have built Vanderbilt into a “powerhouse”.
