It's a good question. Alas, time and observation since that once proud day just causes me to now ask, who's really driving this, what are they really doing with the money, and what military spending shortsightedness precipitated this drastic move to regain the high ground?

The first trip to the moon gave us Tang and transistor radios.
I'm not sure we're gonna make out as well this time.
