He is possibly the first baseball player that I remember hearing the name of.
Fernando mania was running wild when I was tiny and I can honestly remember that name before any others!

Stats and accolades be damned, some guys just belong in the Hall, for nothing more than their impact and influence on the game!
This guy is one of them imo.

In Fernando's Rookie year he pitched 11 complete games and had 8 SHUTOUTS.

The starting pitchers these days barely pitch 5 innings and you have to look around hard for a shutout league wide.

Amazing pitcher way before his time, he would dominate with that screwball in this fastball era.
