My claim to fame is being in the building to see Vols lose 2001, 2004, and 2007 Sec Title games, I was at the BYU debacle, I was at the 2011 game in Lexington for the first loss to Kentucky in ages, also got to witness the Kentucky loss the COVID year in Neyland…I might be slightly mad forever!
Had everything to do with JG. Could only score 16 points in regulation and only 3 in the 2nd half. Started the 2nd half with a 10 point lead and throws a pick on our side of the field to gift them 7 points. You can’t expect your defense to pitch a shutout nearly the whole game. Same with this year’s team. Your offense’s minimum expectation should be 20 points. If you can’t even do that then it falls on the offense’s shoulders. The defense did their part for the majority of that game. The only touchdown they gave up in regulation was after that pick JG threw at his own 20 yard line.
Cornpone regime so don't really care now.
