Everything I read said the agent didn’t get back to the Braves in time before they had already moved on to work a deal out for Matt Olson. Agent drug his feet on communication because he wanted his client in LA.

I’m all for players making their money but it’s pretty evident agents hold all the cards whenever they are negotiating these deals. And unfortunately without a hard salary cap like the NFL, there is not an even playing field in free agency. There is a luxury tax but you can literally spend however much you please. And the deferred contracts are a joke. That needs to come to stop also.

The Senate passed abolishing DST, but the House has not passed it. The president would then have to sign it into law. Maybe soon.
