I like it, deferring to patience and savoring the ride!I am in total agreement with @Halph66 on this Committee Chairman . The Chairman shouldn't be a AD from any P4 conference, maybe put in a AD from a lower tier conference who is unbiased towards their conference knowing only one team from G5 gets a bid.
Now onto this seasons dilemma, Tennessee should get a home game in playoffs but will they is the big elephant in the room. As of now I see Tennessee getting no higher than #7 seed or #8 with Notre Dame winning the #1 thru #6 is locked up. #5 after next week will be the interesting spot. Will a Texas team losing to Georgia just drop 3 spots in seedings or will a Penn State just drop #5 to # 7 if they lose to Oregon.
Hell what if Oregon who's undefeated lose to PSU we know they're not dropping out of CFP probably moves to #5.
Who's going to last team in and first team out? Some reason I think Miami drops to last team in and the 3 loss SEC teams are left looking in. Seems Committee may be looking for a second ACC team to get in, if Clemson beats SMU in Championship game I believe SMU falls to last team in and Clemson gets the #4 seed.
Yes the system is flawed but it is what it is, as @Volprofch05 posted earlier in the week could there be potential blowouts? Yes of course but there also could be a couple of upsets.
We will see, I'm here for the festivities and to read @VolPack22 daily rants about how this should be this way and that way.
Now waiting patiently on WTOB with his smart ass TL;DR reply.![]()
They will not move the 3rd SEC into a hosting spot IMO. They don’t want to hear SEC bias screams. So she’s basically saying that Ohio State should only drop 4 spots in the overall rankings from 2nd to 6th when they lost at home to an unranked team in which they were favored by three touchdowns. She’s high.
Agreed. Day can’t say that out loud for at least 2 reasons:Not sure what I think about this quote from Ryan Day earlier this week. Maybe I want my coach to feel this way, but not to say it out loud? He may need some perspective.
I hope she doesn’t have any sway with the committee, she obviously does not favor the Vols and it’s fairly obvious.Heather Dinich just revealed her projected bracket and moved Georgia up to 7 seed, slid Ohio State to 8 seed and kept us at 9 seed. Don’t know how much credit she has, I haven’t followed her projections.

Absolutely no acting AD should be on playoff committee. It’s a conflict of interest and reeks of currying favor. For example, a lower tier AD could trade a “paid away game” against the big boys in return for putt8ng them in the playoffs. Plus, it’s a tight group with way too many existing relationships amongst ADs which is ripe for back room politics.I am in total agreement with @Halph66 on this Committee Chairman . Truly don't believe she can sway the committee but I do believe she knows what is going on inside the meeting rooms. Just as Lunardi does during the weeks before NCAA selections in basketball..I hope she doesn’t have any sway with the committee, she obviously does not favor the Vols and it’s fairly obvious.
