Drew, you’re a great person for helping him out. At UT, they have a program, which I think is called Vols Helping Vols where there’s a support system for students in similar situations. Any idea if your UGA friend has looked around for a similar program at that school?

Here’s one thing I found: Food Pantry - Well-being Resources

Here’s another thing: Let All The Big Dawgs Eat - UGA Student Affairs
I asked him and he said no he wasn't aware of things like that. I also think there was some self-punishment and angry at himself for ever allowing himself to get in that position in the first place. going on and being stubborn too.

I think because he grew up without a mom and his dad being more of a "man-up" kind of dad.
He's he thinks he so used to not having enough or much in college that just getting by is his norm.

Thank for the info and I'll make sure he gets it and he'll likely use that if the situation gets anywhere close to what it did recently.

We talked quite a bit and got to know each other and he got to know my roommates as well. Jason reminded me of how worthless he felt because his parents neglecting for the most part. On the surface, Jason LOOKED like he was well off, but to his parents, Jason was just window dressing for two selfish people that probably shouldn't have had kids and that mentally wore him down and led to low self esteem, self hatred etc. and it just led him down a path of reflexively not thinking he has much value even though it was irrational.

Thanks again. 🎄
