I think whenever push comes to shove ESPN will see the added value in adding an additional 16 conference games. And if the conference is going to sacrifice home games every season the schools are not going to agree to anything without compensation. So if ESPN wants those extra quality games then they will be forced to pony up or not get them.

I’m also curious how the extra game dovetails into the sos considerations for the CFP. I would think that needs to get ironed out first.

It’s how they have come around to sharing the wealth generated by the huge stadiums and deep pocket fans. As long as they keep filling up the stadiums when they play cream puffs, they’ll keep playing them. Those are just the only games some fans can afford to attend. Did you see some of those prices for the uTerus vs Aggie game? Sheesh
