52, I can’t stand it!
This whole thing needs to be headed off at the pass.
It pains me to say but contracts need to be a thing during the recruiting/signing process and salary caps need to be implemented.
The transfer portal is a mess, it signifies society perfectly...”I want it and I want it now!”
WTF even is college football now?
It reminds me of our government, just do whatever we feel like, that makes us happy at the moment, repercussions be damned...we’ll sweep those under the rug.

The only solution based on past litigation IMHO is to make them employees so there can be some reasonable guardrails around the current “Wild West” calamity.

Being able to transfer 4 or 5 times without any repercussions, everyone being a free agent, hire a mercenary mentality, etc leads to no continuity and reeks of a “pick up” league where the players change sides constantly. If things don’t improve, I will stop spending my time and money on college athletics. it will no longer be interesting to me. In fact, it will be worse than pro sports which I already gave up on….

I suspect many more feel the same way. Hate the direction college athletics is headed…

The receivers were having an Instagram Live the other day and Kaleb Webb alluded to everyone being upset with WR Coach Pope and him not being able to develop anyone. WR Staley dropped off the call and seemed to be very frustrated. I think we will see a new WR Coach come Spring practice. As for WR Matthews, he was worried Nico was going to enter the portal so he put his name in last minute to be safe. Everyone connected with Tennessee says it is a high probability Matthews comes back since Nico is staying, along with getting a raise because he will likely be WR1. Rumors circulating that Miami had a back channel offer to lure Nico away but Nico decided to stay. Honestly can’t blame the kid since there was a mass exodus and he wasn’t sure if his QB was staying.

Isn’t free agency in college football fun??? 🤪

I'm not too worried about what goes on between now & then w/players.
We lose some and we also gain some that are really good too like Bru McCoy.
Far as I'm concerned the coaches worry about those things ... I don't get paid to.
After we lost to OS there was a calling for Coach Heupel to be fired. Crazy world.
I think Heupel needs to take a close look at his coaching staff & replace them if needed. I would start at the OC whose calling plays there. Could do a lot better in that area.

Agreed on the OC. Also think OL, WR, and Secondary needs to be looked at.
