Mississippi State
Having a Deja Vu to 1986.
Tennessee had the best season of my lifetime at that point in 1985, beating the U in the Sugar Bowl.

#8 Tennessee 1-0 hosts an unranked Mississippi State. On TBS
Previous week was an untelevised win over New Mexico.
So this was my first chance to watch my beloved Vols since the Sugar Bowl.

I was feeling so confident, the Vols had arrived to the big stage.
I was at some friends telling them they have to watch The Big Orange, they are such an exciting team.

Tennessee went on to lose to MSU who lost the following week to Southern Miss.

The Vols went on to lose 5 of the next 6 games and were sitting at 2-5.

And my friends kept reminding me, “Hey, I thought Tennessee was going to be really good”
