We were more deserving to be ranked ahead of Alabama at the end of the season in 2022 but we all saw what happened there. FSU was more deserving over Alabama to make the playoff last year whenever I thought the SEC didn’t even deserve a spot. It will be a cold day in Hell before they voluntarily leave Alabama out of the playoff. I always thought Georgia would be the only 3-loss at large team that would make the playoff but if history is any indication, the gumps will get the benefit of the doubt.

As long as that Alabama logo is on their helmets it will never change. The only way to end them is to do it and leave zero doubt. South Carolina should have beaten Alabama if they wanted to win that argument head to head with them. Alabama would have 4 losses and South Carolina would be a top 10 team. The committee will only use head to head whenever it so chooses and getting Alabama into the field is a situation they would use that. I would be willing to bet come next week’s rankings their explanation for putting Alabama in over South Carolina will be head to head.

LOL on Cuse beating Miami:

This weekend couldn't have gone much better for Tenn other than GT losing by a whisker with 8 overtimes.
My dad just caught me up on Mich/Ohio and Mia/Cuse

MIA instead of Miami because they were missing in action at the end.

As if this Texas vs Texas A&M wasn’t already big enough with a trip to Atlanta on the line, it’s basically going to set the stage for how the rankings are next week. If Texas wins they are locked into a hosting spot at the very least and in line for the 2 seed with a SECCG victory while Georgia is pretty much locked into a hosting spot win or lose if Texas is the opponent. If they lose they will be playing on the road in the first round while everyone else in the top ten that didn’t lose will move up a spot.

Also, there’s a slim chance they won’t drop Ohio State below us even with that horrible loss to Michigan. We need Texas to lose tonight in order to 100% guarantee a hosting seed.

GT winning would have us solidly hosting right now. I think we will end up hosting but I’m always weary of the bias shown towards the big brands like Ohio State. You just never know with this committee.

We’ve heard for years, from the committee, that it matters when you lose. We’ve will see if they hold serve here. They have dropped team big, when losing to an unranked team.🤷🏻
