There was plenty of political debate a while back, but the side that was proved inconsequential resorted to name calling and threw the race card, after that it became a joke thread

I was actually a witness to that portion of the debate and showing someone up wasn't a part of your function. You for some unknown reason claimed that you were some kind of debate master and never supported it. You proclaimed yourself victorious without ever having said anything of value.

Why am I complaining, that's exactly par for the course?

It's not who leans what way in cable news, it's the fact that they're making a spectacle out of politics in order to draw viewers.

It's been about 7 years sinced I've willingly watched any cable news channel (yes, I've kept track). I feel like my brain turns into mush when I watch it.

Actually I can feel my brain turning to mush with about 95% of TV programs. Anything aside from movies and sports.

I'm not saying they invented the wheel. But it's one of those things that epitomizes people treating everything like some form of team sports... Liberals vs. conservatives. When I hear somebody start talking less as themselves and more as a red or blue, I tend to immediately tune out. It gives me dumb chills every time.

And that's all these channels seem to feature.
