The Endzone Garden Thread

But she’s giving her artful fertilizer and her nap warmth to the plant, and besides she now has camouflage. You’ve created the perfect kitty play ground, lol.
I’m afraid so. I just wish she would do her thing between the plants, instead of on them.

My new tactic involves cutting down the grossly overgrown burning bushes in front and using their twigs as sort of tank barricades, for a slightly pudgy eleven-pound tank.

From someone that’s been held hostage of those beasts for 55 years, pics of how that works out 😂.

Does anyone have a good remedy or product they use on their yard to kill/repell mosquitoes??? 🦟 We can't sit on our patio longer than 5 minutes in the evenings without being bombarded with the dam thangs.

Why spray your yard? Just spray yourselves.

Get rid of any standing water; maybe find some toads.* We spray ourselves with these; they work perfectly well, including on babies (the Cutter):

*No, I’ve no idea either where you would acquire toads. Maybe you could mine some? 😇

Hahahaha there's literally 5 or 6 toads living in our backyard. I always have to shoo them away when I mow. I was trying to avoid the spray on products - but you're right, that's probably our best bet.

Well, the target is hella smaller than your yard, that’s for sure.

And you can (with some serious work and money) turn your yard into a desert, but insects will happily visit you from your neighbors’ yards. They’re pretty bad about respecting boundaries. 🦟🦟🦟

Are you gonna actually harvest the seeds or did you grow them mainly just because they're cool?
We may harvest a few for the birds, but it was mainly my wife's idea to plant them. We've got two different varieties -- I forgot what they are tho.

Peppermint and basil plants along with "Garlic Barrier" works pretty well. You can make it yourself but getting the right strength ain't easy.

I fight those devil spawn sons of whores 9 months out of 12 and nothing works great except...

Lololol
I actually ordered one of these from Amazon. It looks easy enough to set up and take down, but I'd like to upgrade to a screened in patio eventually -- just too expensive right now. Hopefully the Amazon canopy helps...combined with all the other stuff we use to repel those fuggers. I swear, some of our skeeters look like they're the size of small wasps. I'm sure those Florida monsters are worse tho. Hate them.
