DEF?...lot of options:
CIN (playing CLE, Thurs...Manziel starting)
NYJ (playing JAX, early Sun)
NE (playing WAS, early Sun)
ATL (playing SF, Sun afternoon, Gabbert starting)
MIN (playing STL)
I also now have to reconsider starting Barnidge at TE...I'm fairly sure Manziel doesn't even know who he is.
Hey guys I haven't made my way over to the NFL forum much. Happy to see there is a fantasy thread.
I have a wr question. I'm in a standard 8 team league.
Should I go with
Diggs vs Rams
Stevie Johnson vs Chicago
My gut tells me diggs will be limited by that st. Louis d.
I don't remember who your other TEs are, but I'd still feel okay using Barnidge. I think Manziel will target him, the main risk is just that Manziel plays like he did last year against the Bengals which was so, so, so bad.
The defenses are a total toss-up to me. I'd go with the Jets, because I think they're still the best defense out of those (Brady game and cross-country trip to Oakland notwithstanding), and I think Bortles is still turnover prone even with better numbers this season.
All are facing bad QBs, but I'd still rule out Minnesota first, both because of Gurley and because they weren't that great this week but were bailed out by a return TD.
First I have Jamaal Charles go down with an acl injury. Now my other back, Forte has a hammy issue.
It's like the fantasy gods just hate me
Kelce, and he's off this week. I'm going to have to make a drop for anything I do (my current defense that's on bye is Seattle)...so I'd have to risk either someone taking them/ Kelce or drop a WR named Rishad Matthews or Jordan Matthews.
I'm just also not terribly assured with Manziel's ability to make check downs not how Cleveland changes their offense when he's starting...I think Benjamin's really the only one that benefits when he's in.
I like the Jets and get the talent on the defense, but I'm not sure I'm as comfortable with the numbers they put up...even taking away the Oakland game (they scored less than a quarter of a point), they're last few games they've only been putting up (in our league): 3,6 pts (@ NE), 8.03 (WAS), 9.93 (@ Miami), and 6.78 (Phi), and I know - at least -
I kind of feel like I'm leaning a bit more towards CIN D or was toward NE's defense against WAS...until someone picked it up earlier today.
You could be like the guy in second place in our 10-team league:
Forte's out, Forsett's on bye, Keenan Allen just went on IR, Golden Tate's on bye, Kenny Wright's hurt.
The guy had to pick up Antonio Andrews in a 10-team league.
He's smart enough to take advantage of the situation by putting Allen on IR so he could pick up Malcolm Floyd, though.
