The Everything Fantasy Football Thread

Pick one RB and one FLEX (PPR League).

L. Murray vs KC (torched them in 1 quarter last time)
R. Mathews vs Den (Broncos Run D is tough)
T. West vs Cin (great matchup, but Crowell gets the most GL opportunities)
A. Hurns vs Bal
M. Lee vs Bal
R. Woods vs GB
Garcon vs NYG

I'm leaning towards Murray and Hurns. But all the projections I'm seeing out there have Garcon, Woods and Lee projected higher than Hurns. I feel like I have a lot of good options for the FLEX but nothing clear cut.

Pick a D/ST
KC vs Oak
Den vs SD
NYJ vs Tenn
Car vs TB

NYJ and Car are available on waivers so I may not be able to get either tomorrow, but I'm wondering if I even need to worry about it.

I got a first round bye last week as the #1 seed (thinly veiled brag :)) and am up against the top scorer in my league (beat me by 7 points) with $$ on the line! Add to that this is my first season to ever play fantasy football. I'm all
TIA :hi:

Do yall prefer Yahoo or ESPN? We use Yahoo but the owner wants to switch to ESPN.
I haven't played Yahoo, so take this with a grain of salt. My main gripe with ESPN is that the D/ST are hit by total score of the opposing team. I posted/whined about this last week. So, if you have Team 1 D/ST and Team 1 Offense turns the ball over and it results in a TD for Team 2's D/ST it in turn hurts Team 1 D/ST. I don't like that one bit. And from what I understand other sites don't score it that way.

For that reason alone I would like to look at other sites.

I've also found at times the "News" that ESPN has when you click on a player (from Rotowire) can be very watered down and not very accurate. But I don't know if other sites even have these types of easy to click news & notes for individual players.

I know with fantasy baseball I prefer Yahoo, but I believe ESPN is slightly more user friendly.

Are they not counting this and next week as the combined first round?

No, this was the first round. I mean I guess it is technically not over for me since I am in the losers bracket for deciding the last couple places in the league..but who really cares about that???

Down 35 pts in one league, so I had to take a couple crazy risks. Enter Johnny Football.

I got Johnny too. Not sure if I should play him or Wilson this week. Wilson is going up against a shaky niners D, but they usually play their best against the seahawks.

My other options are Kaep and Dalton, being down so much I said screw and started him

Roster currently:

QB: Stafford (vs MIN)

RB: D. Murray (vs PHI), C.J. Anderson (vs BUF), M. Ingram (v CHI), L. Murray (v. KC), J. Stewart (vs SD)

WR: O. Beckham (v. WAS), B. Lafell (v. MIA), K. Stills (v. CHI), A. Johnson (v. IND), J. Matthews (v. DAL), M. Bryant (v. ATL), Steve Smith (v. JAX)

TE: J. Thomas (v. BUF)

DEF: DET (v. MIN)

I'll need to pick up a K (Mason Crosby) and want to get the SEA defense (v. SF). So need some help on two to drop.

(Also stick with Stafford or look at Sanchez? Stafford's been good the last two weeks, but struggled the last time he played MIN...a lot of QBs haven't played to well against them as well; they're the 9th least fantasy points to QBs.)

Personally, I'd keep Stafford and keep the Detroit defense. Not sure who I'd drop, though.

This. I'd drop Stewart, with those RBs he probably won't even play him.
Keep Stafford.
I'd drop Stewart and L. Murray. You're loaded at RB and those WR options would be your flex over those two RB.
If you wanted to drop a third for the SEA D, then I'd drop Bryant. But I'd hold on to the DET D.

My league doesn't have a flex spot.

We play QB/2RB/3WR/TE.

(Why would I need to drop 3? It'd just take 2 to pick up a kicker AND another Def. I'd only need a 3rd if I wanted another QB or TE.)

So fighting for the playoffs in one. My other 5 are in the first round I'm... up 33, 15, & 1 and down 51, & 35. So I'm pretty ****** in 2.

Team 1
WR- K Allen or M Wallace
Flex-J Bell or one of the 2 above

Team 2 (this is the one I'm up 1)
Need a WR and a Flex-Sanders, Jeffrey, Matthews and Benjamin

Team Need a prayer -35
1 WR and Flex-Hilton, Evans, Gordon and Jordy

Team no chance in hell -51
RB-J Hill, Mason or Crowell

10 Hail Mary's - Hilton, Evans. This one is tough. No idea how Gordon will do with Manziel back there; could have big upside so could be worth the risk since you're down by a lot. I'm worried the Bills D will at least contain Rodgers & Co. though. Sucks because I have Rodgers & Cobb.

Burn baby burn - Crowell. I think the Browns are very likely to be run heavy and despite splitting carries with West he has been getting the goal line work.

You guys think I should keep steve smith?
You don't have to keep him due to the depth you have at WR, but he does have good matchups the next couple weeks. That, and the 2 RB I suggested probably won't start for you unless 2 of Murray, Anderson or Ingram go down with injury.

I picked up Manziel for the prayer team, being behind so many I figured why not take the risk. That's also leaning toward Gordon, it's a little desperation but I am down 35.

Pick 2, standard scoring:

Andre Johnson (if he plays), Jarvis Landry, Marqise Lee, Malcom Floyd, Marquess Wilson

Pick 1 - PPR League
Ryan Mathews vs Den (if healthy)
Terrance West vs Cin
Marqise Lee vs Bal
Allen Hurns vs Bal
Robert Woods vs GB

Pick 2
Josh Gordon vs Cin
A.J. Green vs Cle
Randall Cobb vs Buf
Jeremy Maclin vs Dal
Mark Ingram vs Chi
