Roger Staubach

The guy was a determined competitor that I know would get it done because he had to.

Danny Wuerffel. I've seen the Aliens play and they absolutely cannot defend the fade into the back corner.

I'll roll with recent athletes since I believe athletes today would destroy any athlete from the past. Bigger, stronger, faster. Yeah.

QB Vince Young
RB Reggie Bush
FB Mike Alstott
TE Kellen Winslow
WR Randy Moss
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Rocket Ismail
T Orlando Pace
T Jonathan Ogden
G Robert Gallery
G Will Shields
C LeCharles Bentley

DE Julius Peppers
DE Terrel Suggs
DT Warren Sapp
DT Glenn Dorsey
LB Levar Arrington
LB Dan Morgan
LB Derrick Johnson
CB Champ Bailey
CB Charles Woodson
CB Deion Sanders
FS Eric Berry
SS Roy Williams

K Nate Kaeding
P Dustin Colquitt(lol)

I cheated a little. Robert Gallery played tackle in college but I listed him as a guard because the Raiders moved him there. I moved Eric Berry to safety but he could play any position in the secondary. Punter was the only one I didn't have an answer. With that team, I don't think you'd need a punter anyways. Anyways... some of the positions I could have gone a few different ways. Runningback and defensive tackle were probably the hardest to choose. Darren McFadden and Larry Johnson were tempting. It was also tough choosing between Glenn Dorsey, John Henderson, Reggie White and Bruce Smith. Anyways... that's my list. If were only choosing one player it would be Vince Young.

The only problem is that your defense has 12 players. Unless alien rules allow this, I think we might get called :) Dump Roy Williams and you are good. And this next point is certainly arguable, but I would find a way to get Lawrence Taylor on the team.

I have to do a full squad now. I won't let these aliens take over.

The offense had 12 too :p. The third wide receiver is for a package that uses a slot receiver and the third cornerback is for a package that uses the nickle. Rocket Ismail holds the record for most yards per catch in college football Sanders played nickle for the Ravens.

2001 miami

Seriously? Ken Dorsey over Michael Vick/Vince Young/etc.?

2001 miami was great. But give any of the teams we have been tossing out a chance to practice for a month and they'll beat 2001 Miami by three touchdowns on a bad day.

If the fate of the world depends on a team led by Jared Lorenzen I'm going to go ahead and kill myself. That guy was just not that good. I don't care how hard he was to tackle.

Someone threw the 95 Huskers in there, might as well give the Canes a shot.

He's my 4th and 1 situational guy. And my goal line QB. And my Hail Mary guy.

He's the guy that will throw a pick 6 with a DE and 2 LBs hanging onto him, while Earth is up by a field goal with 10 seconds left in the game. And having him ahead of Tee Martin is an outrage.

Do you honestly think that I would let Lorenzen run an option attack over Martin?

Just having him on the team when there somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 better QBs is reason enough to suspect anything. If you really wanted a QB just for goal line situations, I'd think Tebow would be your man.

Bosworth and Charles Woodson on the list, but no Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders or Dale Carter...

I'd trade Bosworth and Laurinaitis for Lawrence Taylor. I'd also switch out Charles Woodson for Rod Woodson and maybe one of the other guys for Ronnie Lott. That way you've got two studs that played CB and S. And David Pollack was successful, but I'd trade him out for Leonard Little.
