U.T. came out super tight tonight, and I don't really blame them. This team has been close to getting in the tournament the last 2 years, only to be one of the first 4 out. Barton (while not a long suffering Vol) in particular looked completly out of sorts. MacRae looked passive and Maymon kept making the same move and getting stripped in the lane. Richardson's shots looked so tight I'm surprised he didn't pull a muscle while he was chucking them at the basket. Hopefully all that got worked out in this win and they can come out and play a full game Friday. They will need another big effort to beat Umass, but they are more than capable of pulling it off.

I've been saying this all along. They now have their tourney legs under them. They should be favored to beat UMass.

Idk about y'all, but I like when they're super tight

:lolabove: :eek:lol: I see what u did there BTO...

I'm happy for the seniors on this team. Keep it up and they could make some noise...GBO!

PS. Happy for Cuonzo as well even though I've been critical of him.

Crazy game. Those guys fought like crazy. It seemed like we could never get over the hump (take the lead). Iowa would counter everything but the Vols stuck with it and got the W. Barton came out of no where with those 3's and huge free throws. Glad our guys played a full 40 (45) minutes and left it all out there and I'm glad Cuonzo got out of the way and let them play ball.

beat UMASS! GBO!
