Is Jeff Luc and Christian Jones to FSU.

We all know better than to give a crap if Jose Jose is not in the class.

We do not all know better than to care when we are on the outside looking in for LB after LB after LB that we wanted. Monte freaking Kiffin and L Thompson cannot get in quality LBs but FSU a school without a DC can?

What about Ambles visiting around?

B Willis softening?

This is all pissing me off. I have heard rumors and rumblings and bad vibes for weeks now. A thorough beat down of Va Tech and a few All American HS bowl commitments at UA and Army will make me feel better, but I need to hear from someone else that there are some surprises coming.

Any shot at an elite RB now?
Any shot at an elite LB now?

I feel good about at least 1 stud DB and 1 stud safety, but what about a stud DT? Quarles ever going to get his dad over to Knoxville so he can change his mind?

I love Kippy Brown's hire, but I am really just low right now with football. Someone give me some good news.

Yeah I don't think it's too much to get upset over right now. We pull in recruits at the last minute just like everyone else does, so just wait until the signing day is over before you freak out.

And please, dear God, please.... I'm so tired of reading people type "sky is falling." Lame. Go Vols :good!:

Let's wait until NSD before we freak out over lost recruits. There's always a chance with this staff that we sign some phenoms between now and February.

Take a deep breath and count to 10. Besides, the recruiting forum would not be this much fun if we knw all the answers before NSD.

Were you here around this time last year? This place was in shambles. Jarvis Giles hit the road. We didn't have a QB. Oku was wavering. Bryce brown was an afterthought. Teague wasn't really on our radar. And there were 80 threads just like this one before NSD.

Luc and Jones, lifelong FSU fans and natives of the sunshine state, are heading to FSU instead of Tennessee. This staff blows. We are so effed.

Here is some good news. Yesterday I read in the SportingNews that the reporter rated the UT vs VT game as the 2nd most entertaining bowl game this year(including BCS). He also said that both teams should be a regular in the BCS bowls over the next decade:thumbsup: By the way this is my first post ever on volnation. Glad to be here.

We have Bray, Simms, Thompkins, and Milton already here(if there are more, somebody help me out). That is pretty good news in recruiting. The rest will come. Take a xanax, roll you one, pour a glass of wine, do some yoga, or whatever it is you do for relaxation, put your trust in our coaches, and just chill.

We do have someone saying that we will have another Bryce Brown, David Oku, Marsalis Teague, Janzen Jackson kind of finish.

I asked for speculation on the AA bowl commitments. I was accused of being overly optimistic previously.

I am excited about Bray. I really think he may be seen as a huge program building stud QB in 3-4 years. I am excited that our backfield looks so good that HS studs are scared to join it. I just have concerns about DT and LB and with LB in particular we look to be missing over and over and over. I think we are taking OL from a weakness to a position that could be a strength in two years with JaWuan James and the commits I expect from Cullen and Chaz Green.

FSU kids who grew up Nole fans? Please...That is true of Christian Jones, but Luc was not destined for there from the start. CJ Mosley coming out of Alabama looked almost impossible from the start. The problem is that we do not have an Al Wilson on the horizon, and when we have a walk on who is slower than many athletic lineman returning at MLB, we should be able to get a freaking stud in to play under Monte.

I want someone to give me hope. I want some rumors or suggestions as to how things could end well at LB.

I already suggested some names previously, but aside from Calvin Smith who I do not expect to stay a DT, I think we could get Whittaker, could get Thornton and I like both those prospects a good bit.

At LB I felt thrilled about Luc, and or C Jones, but missing both will really lower the quality of this LB class unless there is something brewing I am unaware of.

This was exactly what I meant when I said put your trust in our coaches. Look at the coup they pulled off last year. There will be some surprises at the AA game and in the weeks to follow. There are some linebackers and DT's who will want to be in Monte Kiffins system. They know it will be a direct path to the NFL. Some of the crap you are hearing about players wavering is exactly that, crap. If you are looking for names in particular, go into each players thread. But be prepared for more of the rumors you are so worried about now.

It's worth remembering that we still have two linebackers committed. They may not be as highly regarded by recruiting services, but that didn't stop Greg King from being our best underclassmen linebacker this year.

Go to Home Depot and purchase a 16" cinderblock and some nylon rope (smaller sizes should be OK). Drive to the Henley Street Bridge. Get out of car. Tie rope to the cinderblock. Also, fasten to your feet and tie several knots. Carry the block and set it up on the concrete rail. Climb up on the rail. Toss the block off and immediately jump so the block doesn't hurt your feet. If you are still alive after you hit the water, please disregard the cold and try to immediately inhale the water. It will speed up the process.

I hope this helps. You can google how to tie good knots.
