Haha the USC loss was actually pretty meaningless, its one loss in December. Not even a conference game.

This is all pissing me off. I have heard rumors and rumblings and bad vibes for weeks now. A thorough beat down of Va Tech and a few All American HS bowl commitments at UA and Army will make me feel better, but I need to hear from someone else that there are some surprises coming.

I feel good about at least 1 stud DB and 1 stud safety, but what about a stud DT? Quarles ever going to get his dad over to Knoxville so he can change his mind?

I love Kippy Brown's hire, but I am really just low right now with football. Someone give me some good news.

i prefer not to ignore people so i can keep tabs on the idiots and occasionally formulate smart*ss comments.

however, i think it should be required of everyone to put MHF on their ignore list. then he essentially wouldnt exist and would remain in a constant state of recruiting paranoia. the perfect vengeance for the countless minutes ive wasted reading his redundant, and utterly pointless novels.

I asked for speculation on the AA bowl commitments. I was accused of being overly optimistic previously.

I am excited about Bray. I really think he may be seen as a huge program building stud QB in 3-4 years. I am excited that our backfield looks so good that HS studs are scared to join it. I just have concerns about DT and LB and with LB in particular we look to be missing over and over and over. I think we are taking OL from a weakness to a position that could be a strength in two years with JaWuan James and the commits I expect from Cullen and Chaz Green.

FSU kids who grew up Nole fans? Please...That is true of Christian Jones, but Luc was not destined for there from the start. CJ Mosley coming out of Alabama looked almost impossible from the start. The problem is that we do not have an Al Wilson on the horizon, and when we have a walk on who is slower than many athletic lineman returning at MLB, we should be able to get a freaking stud in to play under Monte.

I want someone to give me hope. I want some rumors or suggestions as to how things could end well at LB.

I already suggested some names previously, but aside from Calvin Smith who I do not expect to stay a DT, I think we could get Whittaker, could get Thornton and I like both those prospects a good bit.

At LB I felt thrilled about Luc, and or C Jones, but missing both will really lower the quality of this LB class unless there is something brewing I am unaware of.

Look, raise your hand if you want a 5* stud linebacker to commit to us?? Dude, everyone wants that. Relax, Jeff Luc has turned your mind into mush. Take solace in the fact that Greg King is going to be a STUD and I look forward to seeing Jerod Askew as well as seeing what Michael Taylor can do.

You're concerned about DT?? Really? Marlon Walls, Montori Hughes on campus, several 4* dlineman recruited, and some DE that could end up moving inside. With CEO as our Dline coach/recruiter the dline is the LAST thing you should worry about.

I read on another thread that we are on Prince Shembo. He is mad that the coaches who recruited him to ND are gone, but it looks like if he changes his mind it may be to Miami.

LV says we are not hard after Josh Shirley which would surprise me.

CJ Mosley was also listed in his group of guys to watch, which I found surprising because I think getting him out of Alabama seems harder than getting Luc out of Florida.

Corey Nelson and LeDarius Owens would be a fantastic but L O has been to Auburn and Alabama over and over and over. The kids Uncle was the first black player at Auburn. If CJ Mosley and Beasley both ended up at Alabama, we might be able to sneak in and take LO but we would be fighting LSU, FSU (who I would guess has to drop back with Luc and C Jones there) and the in state powers. Alabama off a NC is hard to beat in recruiting battles and that is where UT is for LO and CJ Mosley.

We have a great staff. In the case of Bray I think someone fell to us who may be better than the guys we missed on above him. I just think that it is troubling that LT and EO have missed on bringing, Bruce Irvin, Jeff Luc and now probably Christian Jones in. CJ Mosley and LeDarius Owens staying in Alabama is most likely. Jeff Shirley staying on the west coast is most likely. Corey Nelson could stay in state and go to Texas or Texas A&M. He could go to OU. He could go to UNC. He could go to Stanford. He also is giving us a visit in January which leaves some hope.

Monte turned Nick Reveiz into a more than serviceable MLB, and he should have 5 star LB recruits beating down his door. No one can examine our LB recruiting thus far and say it is not somewhat puzzling. The Bray of LBs sure seems to be Michael Taylor. I think he has the potential to star for us.

Whoever heralded our DTs, I feel you may want to read more. Most of our current class is unlikely to make it in. Calvin Smith is likely to end up on the other side of the ball after starting at DL. We are still in it for some great talent, but we do not have anything approaching a solid DT class right now.

The good news? Torrian Wilson is considering us! If our OL finished with Cullen, T Wilson and Chaz Green we would not have room for Stone or D Robinson and it would say a lot about how much the coaches like Fulton and Pair that they did not recruit "over" in terms of stars and national perception those two.

Recap of some bad news, like missing on Irvin, Jeff Luc and now it looks like Christian Jones.

Ambles was supposedly looking around but has now dispelled that.

Torrian Wilson is also considering us.

I just wanted some good news, particularly about LB, and no one gave any in this thread, but someone started a new one and there are a few positive rumors.
