The Foreign Trade Thread

Either way, Trump will be yapping about tariffs on Mexico again within two months.

FFS why would the State Dept mention a trade deal in their release on immigration reform. You rubes are trying too hard 🙄

Valid point.

What are the details of this deal? I mean, what are the specific commitments? The numbers. The enforcement. The conditions.

You got a link disproving his statement? Anybody from the Mexico trade delegation indicated it isn’t true? If it’s not true we’ll know in time. But it’s entirely possible you lib rubes are jumping the shark... again.

The main detail is that Trump backed himself out of a nationally unpopular and costly position. It was a stupid move and just an antic to pump up the base for a week or two. You've probably heard the last of any "deal". Trump's MO.

Trump or his administration said it. So 90 pct odds it is untrue just because of that.

The most dishonest administration in history.

I must be a real exception. I can't recall buying any of those heavily taxed Chinese goods that would wipe out my tax savings; somebody must be doing some double suffering somewhere. Gotta love hypotheticals anyway.

Well, clearly your personal anecdotes are the standard in which 350m Americans should judge tarrifs.

What's a reasonable time frame? The Q thread appears to work on a time frame that requires quantum physics to calculate. Just want to make sure everyone is on the same plane of expectation.

You're a simpleton who thinks he's a Rhodes scholar.

If you don't know exactly what's cost roughly $4000 annually more than pre-tariffs then you're not being affected.

Put up or shut up.

I wonder what your next username will be.

Says the guy who's using personal experience to dispel effects of economic policies on a national scale.

Using your dimwitted logic, I had dinner tonight therefore world hunger isn't real.
