The Freak is Back!

I don't think he's great but I would take him over Laboy or Odom considering the their talent and what we would have had to pay them. I think with Haynesworth in the middle and KVB on the other side he could be productive. He is by no means an elite player but I would consider it an upgrade at the position.

well by that analogy it could explain the Titans woes of late

Their defense has been great. Most of it built through the draft.

Too bad it hasn't worked for them on the offensive side (but I am on of those that thought drafting VY was a mistake)

I just think Kearse is washed up!

I agree he has injury problems. He is pass rushing specialist who was used in a role by the eagles that did not suit his strengths. He will be used to his strengths here and will add a little more speed to powerful D-line. He is quicker than either of the two ends we lost. We will surely need to add some more depth to the position but I think he has a few years left. I could be wrong but I think he will help us with his speed.

We have not done a good job on offense in the draft and that is not debatable. We might have made a mistake choosing a qb with athletic talent and his "potential". I do think with the return of our new OC we will see improvement but I'm not sure how good he can be.

well I blame that one on Adams. Bud not John!

It looks like we will continue to live and die by the run. QB play is not as important to us as it is to some teams. If we can get Vince to manage the game a little better and make the throws when they count we should be ok. As long as he doesn't play like he did last year. I think he realized that his rookie season teams didn't respect his athletic ability and by season two they were not going to let him pull it down and run.(along with a nagging injury) This offseason I think he realizes he needs to become a student of the game. I think he now has the right OC to help him with that. If he has not learned these things it is going to be a long year.

Is that why he is taking summer school classes at Texas instead of being in Nashville learning his playbook? I think having the freak back will help the Titans on D because really, who do you double off that line? He was injured a lot of the time in Philly, but if he is able to come back to near full strength he will be a HUGE pickup.

I liked him in his prime but with the nagging injuries and age...he should just have hung it up....WRAP IT UP B

This would be a good move if he could stay healthy. But he won't and we'll be left with a huge hole on one side of the line.
I'am also think that taking VY might have been a bad move. I guess we need to give him at least another year.
