We’re never going to get anything good out of you again after this is available on streaming. 😖

It has to have the right amount of quirk, too much reeks of desperation and I lose interest quick. Too little and it tricks me into thinking its over my head and I find myself so interested that I'm ultimately let down.

Of course its possible I'm not as smart as I think I am and it is actually over my head, like Scott Pilgram. I'm sure I just wasn't intelligent enough to grasp that masterpiece.

I was pretty sure teenagers had gotten hold of a lot of pots!

It's actually fun to discourse with someone who's movie tastes are literally 180 degrees from mine.

I liked the actors and it was shortly after Superbad, didn’t finish it.
Ain't gonna lie, that was the biggest piece of crap I've tried to watch in a long time. I can't believe Newt is being serious.

I can watch bad or stupid, but not both, I mean I don't even know what it was about.

Just proves your lack of taste, that's all. It is widely known as a great, fun, kinetic film that is visually groundbreaking and a script that is tight and clever.

That's correct. I have no idea what crap tastes like, but I know it when I see it.

BTW, this French Dispatch doesn't look "stupid" to me like the Scott Pilgrim mess, just not something I'd be interested in.

Released a decade ago and still holds up. Trying to decide if you contrarian or just an idiot.
Both, but I know movies.

Cecil B. Demille's Ten Commandments in 1956 had better visuals. And prettier women.

I’ll probably see it, but I have no clue what this is even about. The trailer didn’t make much sense

Cool, but just for anyone that followed this exchange between the two of us, go ahead and tell them you were trolling me and tricked me into watching one of the biggest pieces of crap ever produced.

Good one by the way.

When I’m looking for “visually groundbreaking” movies? I don’t. 😏

Dude, you are so off on this one and it's time to give up. I tried to give you an out the other day, but now you've gone full buffoon. Take an L on this one and walk away. It's not some boring movie that only artsy fartsy snobs like, it's a near universally-loved cult classic. It's a weird, niche movie that somehow ended up with high ratings among critics and users on RT and users on IMDB. That's a fkn achievement.

You and Butchna can give each other double dutch rudders watching Hobbes & Shaw and leave the movie critiquing to literally anybody else.

There’s no such thing as a movie everybody likes. No winning or losing is involved. I have no idea what your second paragraph was about. I’ll critique what I want...in fact I just did.
