and its not like its outsourcing the coal burning to China, the states providing the power are next door, so its not like California is really getting away from dirtying their own skies. not that it would matter if they did outsource to China, because China's pollution makes it over to California anyway.

I posted Galloways TED talk in the Gramps OT thread if yall are interested. He speaks the truth and backs it up with solid statistics. I have a 22yo son that will have his masters degree in clinical psychology in December...he has done everything right. Graduated almost 2 years early, masters also a couple years ahead of schedule...works full time in his field while working on his advanced degree in a marketable field at night. He has done as well as can reasonably be expected from any 22yo young man. Yet owning a home is so far out of his reach that it seems unachievable. Starter houses are $300k with morgages well over $2000 a month. Twice what they were just 5 years ago when the average mortgage in the US was $1100 a month. Now its $2300. Young peoples futures have been stolen from them by investors and a bloated government printing money nonstop devaluing our currency. For the 1st time in modern history, our kids are worse off in many different ways than their parents and grandparents were at the same age. Much poorer relative to others, much higher suicide and addiction rates, also depression, anxiety disorders and other mental problems. Our youth face problems that we never even fathomed because many of the issues they deal with simply didnt exist when we were young. Social media is a cancer that is destroying our youth and this country. Ever bigger and more intrusive government pilfers more and more of citizens earnings just to squander it on identity politics and misguided Socialist programs. This country is falling apart at the seams...and the vast majority of the reasons for it come from the Leftist Socialist degenerates and their garbage policy and ideas.

Whose fault is this sweet Kathy for you to say this racist comment? I guess she thinks they need more $$$ for schools and expect that if blacks do not vote for the radical democrat party they are not black as biden said.

Let's make sure we're not being loose with the facts here. I don't think this project was exclusively for non white guys. It sounds like the entire project is $19 billion and $2.3 went to "minorities". That's actually short of their 30% goal
With today’s announcement JFK surpasses the LaGuardia Airport redevelopment, which set the previous New York State record for MWBE participation in a public-private project with $2.2 billion in contracts awarded. As the $19 billion JFK project moves forward, additional contracts with MWBE firms will be awarded to meet with the Port Authority’s goal of 30 percent MWBE participation for the agency’s capital projects, consistent with Governor Hochul’s nation-leading goals for MWBE utilization in state projects. The Port Authority is working closely with its private terminal developer partners – the New Terminal One, Delta Air Lines and JFKIAT, JFK Millennium Partners, and American Airlines – to engage minority and women-owned businesses along with local businesses in every aspect of the redevelopment program. To date, 680 MWBEs have been awarded contracts at JFK along with more than 200 businesses based in Queens.

The best practice is to try to confirm stuff through other sources. That's what I strive to do
