Here is the thing about PB. You can't just play it once. To me the small greens place a higher importance on missing it in the right spot. But ya I think it's up to $700/round now. Spyglass to me is the better "pure" golf course but I'd take Pebble all day for the iconic holes, great scenery, and The Tap Room.Played Spyglass…..but I gotta play PB once
You're not wrong. But people are paying it. Pinehurst #2, PB, TPC Sawgrass, TPC Stadium.. all over $600/rd with full tee sheets. Pure craziness.Courses are outrageous these days most all of them.
Even here in SWVA golf has gone crazy high in most courses, some definitely not worth it either. Here is the thing about PB. You can't just play it once. I wanted to like it. I watched a couple different matches including the overtime match of Rory vs Tiger. They may continue to get some decent viewership numbers simply because they isn't much else sports wise to watch on those nights. ESPN is pumping it hard with promos and a Sports Center intermission with SVP, however I think the interest will fade. The venue is amazing and I find myself more jealous that I can't play it than wanting to watch them play the same basic shots over and over.Watched TGL last night. All nine team holes. I found it somewhat boring. Probably won't watch it again. Would rather watch a car resurrection show or home refurb show or cooking show during that time.
I thought the same thing. I've watched 10-15 minutes of each of the matches they've done so far and kind of lose interest after that. I've thought "I'd love to play on that simulator" more than "This is really entertaining to watch."I wanted to like it. I wanted to like it too. But I never felt any sense of drama, suspense or anticipation. I just felt like I was watching a few pros playing for fun on a simulator.I wanted to like it.
