Yeah, you've set the standard haven't you? Creating a thread saying goodbye to a coach before he had even coached his first SEC game. Par for the course for a troll like you. Hell, just look at any of your posts. You're one of the most pathetic posters that has ever graced these boards.

I'm shocked you wouldn't take my bet though. Shocked. Typical and par for the course. You run off at the mouth and then run and hide when someone calls you on your BS. You're the Wade Houston of posters. A loser. It fits you well.

I can just imagine your face turning all red and blood vessels bulging on the side of your forehead as you post. Chill out flamer.

Well, it's really unfortunate that we will not see the full product we were expecting this year with Maymon IMO out for the season. I'm not giving up on this team yet, but from what I have seen so far, they have a long way to go offensively to be able to win enough games to make the tourney. Now everyone that is calling for CCM head after 2 bad losses need to realize that the absolute worst thing that can happen for UT basketball is for CCM not to be successful. Another coaching change will set the program back another 3 years - so basically a 5 year stretch from now of crappy basketball. Giving that, it may appear that CCM will have to coach like his job depends on it next year. Possibly having Maymon and Hubbs will definitely be a plus, but IMO his offensive strategy will have to change. His staff collectively has scored more points in basketball than any other in the country. Hopefully, they will make the necessary changes.

Big time college basketball isn't a rebuilding job. A good coach with one or two elite players can turn a program around overnight. And since the faces change every year, it really exposes coaches.

I wouldn't count on Maymon returning next year either. He'll be a 22 year old with a bum knee. His window of making any living at basketball overseas will be closing.

Good grief. You'd sour a dill pickle.
Are you on the verge of suicide or something?

I would fully expect Maymon to be back next year if unable to play this year. His knee is not what I would call a "bum" knee. His issues he's having now is infection related from the surgery. He just had his knee scoped. It wasn't a major tear that would label it as a "bum" knee.

If CCM was released after his 3rd year, then you can basically look at out Football search to see what kind of replacement we would probably have. UT would not be going out and getting a proven big name that can turn a program around overnight. We would get another mid major hire similar to the last 3 that we have got. The odds of finding another CBP that can be an "instant" success here IMO are not very good. I think a program could be built here with the right person and would take at least 3 years.

It's apparent that I have touched a nerve and get under your skin. I laugh at this and you. You've been exposed as a fool who was ready to fire Martin before he coached his first SEC game.

You're the Wade Houston/Debbie Downer of this board. That hat fits you well. Wear it with pride ol' clueless one.

Big time college basketball isn't a rebuilding job? You might want to tell Tom Crean and Indiana that.

Just when you think he can't say anything more stupid, he goes and outdoes himself yet again. LMAO!

He makes his own pickles with his own tears. He calls them Debbie Downers.

Still a lot of basketball to be played. We have to win the next six at home. The SEC is really weak this season JMO. We should win all our SEC home games and pick up road wins against Georgia, SC, Vandy, and Arkansas, I don't think any of them is near as good as Virginia or Georgetown.

I only feel good about two of our next six games. Hope it turns out different.

We were 4-6 going into a 5 game home stretch last season.
Didn't lose at home except for the KY game after the AP fiasco.
Hoping for the same this season.
Home wins included Uconn, FLA and Vandy.
Start building some confidence with a win over WS and we'll be fine.

What?

Have to win the next 6 at home? So that puts us 10-3. Then you say win all SEC home games, that's 19 wins, and you add 4 road games??

So you're calling for 23-7 as a final record? Us going 19-4 over our next 23 games?

Lofty expectations.

If the season plays out anything like last. The terrible start .(4-6)
Then the 5 game streak at home. We lost 8 games after that.
If we win the next 6 at home, a 10-7 finish is quite believable. IF!

Which would put us at 20-10, much more realistic IMO. I'm hoping we can get to that 20 win mark regular season, would be very happy.
