Yep, starring Denzel Washington and Forrest Whittaker. Absolutely brilliant.

Ahhh, I've seen the previews I believe.

How is Denzel in it? To me, he seems like he plays the exact same guy in every movie I've ever seen him in.

My thoughts exactly. I saw the previews and thought "Hey, the coach from Remember the Titans took over the debate team."

Brilliant. I don't really see the similarities between the former slave in "Glory", Malcolm X, Frank Lucas, and Melvin Tolson. Guess I'm missing something.

You meant those aren't all the same person?

Denzel is great in Training Day. He is one of my favorite actors.

Of all the movies to give as an example of Denzel's excellence, you give Training Day? That's like me mentioning Kate Hudson when giving an example of actresses with great racks.

Actually I was thinking his character in Training Day would be a perfect rebuttal of the argument that all of his movies had the same basic acting theme.

I think he did win an Oscar for that one. I feel like he's done better, though.

He's much better when he's not playing the victim or good guy role imo.

He makes an excellent bad guy. Like in Training Day or Man on Fire. I know he played a good guy role in that, but it was a dirty good guy.

Saw "Charlie Wilson's War" the other day. That's also a strong flick. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is tremendous in that movie. Helps if you like international politics.

Training Day was the one that he really stepped out and played a different kind of character. The rest he kinda plays the same, but you could say that about just about every actor.

Has anyone seen I'm Not There? It's the Bob Dylan movie. I was going to see it, but it's not in too many theaters anymore.
