The Grill and BBQ thread

Grilled a burger tonight stuffed with jalapenos, really starting to feel it kicking in now.

The girll made its maiden voyage of 2011 last night. Steaks and corn (with chicked for Little Me). Add in baked potatoes in the oven and it was a perfect dinner.

I'm a fan of Country Bob's seasoning and sauce as well if anyone can find it.

Nexium, purple pill. Stuff is solid. Grizz, you better start documenting your grilling adventures on here with pics or you will be forbidden from posting. Sorry, I will exercise my Guru rights. :p

First and foremost, steaks should not need any sauce. Country Bob's is pretty good. My Mom loves that stuff. I stay away from sauce on steak. Burgers are a different story.

Well my friend if I knew how to do it I most deffinatly will lol. Sorry I'm not that high tech inclined lol

Oops. Excuse the confusion. I meant for chicken porkchops net not steaks.

Love thick cut chops tigervol. Have you tried Dales? I use the reduced sodium Dales. Stuff is really good but no way it can be a dipping sauce. Strictly a marinade but damn good.

Dales is good on almost everything. Great stuff. Same stuff they use at steak out fwiw

You got any kids? My 9yo can make her own webpage it seems lol

Lol no wife, no kids. My little sister is the brains of the operation but since she graduated from college she doesn't come around much to show me what to do lol

Turrible, just terrible. Baby steps I guess:hi:

I ate at my brother's crib this weekend. He bought one of those green "eggs". He's a great cook but his food was just as good as it was off his Weber charcoal grill. He said the egg was easier because he didn't monitor it as much, compared it to baking with the benefit of grilled taste.

Not worth the money. The lid on that thing was 40lbs or something.

If I had the money I would have a thousand green eggs. They are that good. Ceramic weight be damned.

My wife got me a smoker. I have very little experience with it and have been looking for recipes. Anyone recommend a recipe book or online source for recipes? Thanks

Bobby Flay has a couple good cook books for grilling. The one I have is called "Grill It". As far as smoking different meats it's all about your preference in rubs and sauce. Sweet, spicey, vinegar based....

I would also suggest buying a decent digital thermometer to clip to the smoker grate. Most stock thermometers are way off.
