I'm in the microscopic minority that doesn't want a playoff. I could go for a BCS +1 format, but that would be it. I just don't see why it's that big a deal.

It's to validate Auburn fans' opinions that they would really have the 2004 national championship if there was a playoff.

I guess its just another example of those with $ and influence control everything, just the way it is.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. People wonder why college football is different from other sports that have playoffs . . . Other sports don't have multimillion dollar bowl systems in place.

Yep...just checked an Air Force message board and they were commenting that Tennessee was paying Air Force 800 thousand dollars to come play at Neyland. Theres an incredible amount of money in college football.

I'm in the even more microscopic community that wants to ditch the BCS altogether and go back to the old bowl system with the true mythical national championship!
