This is what happens when reductions in the growth of a budget for an agency are labeled cuts. The 2 last omnibus bills raised budget baselines by an average of 20%, the stimulus raised them even more. Future budgets are built off these inflated baselines. No wonder these people feel free to waste the money.

saw a report where the money to help people weatherize their houses went from 250 million to 5 billion under the stimulus and NO ONE knows where all that money went, there are countless cases like this and this president thinks the government needs MORE money.....it is truly sad

Ive worked with the government in some capacity since 1998 and I still dont know what the purpose of GSA truly is

Since '98? That explains your PC attitude.

Thirty years ago one could start visiting federal agency offices in Washington DC and not counting travel time, spend 15 minutes in each agency office, work eight hours a day, five days a week and it would take over five years to complete the job.

I would guess over half those agencies are mostly worthless.

If one were start doing the same today, one might never finish the job as new agencies pop up like cancer cells duplicating themselves.

GSA btw isn't the only agency to hold 'conferences', as a matter of fact most all of them do.

This is the poster child for government waste.

No I would say the proposed $25 mil posh addition to our embassy in Paris, France to house 11 diplomats with an underground parking facility capable of handling 90 cars would be more of a poster child.

Note, this is just an addition, it doesn't replace anything.

Then too, we spent over $500 million building or refurbishing mosques around the world, if anyone thinks that will buy us friendship the don't understand the word 'jizra'. That boneheaded policy will lead to even more demands.

The "buck stops here" rhetorical gimmick. The favorite refuge of the most simple-minded partisan.

dumbassery. The guy claimed to be different. He was Washington outsider rolling to town to be transformational. Turns out he was the emptiest of suits with no plan whatsoever.
